Join Clarke University's Music Department for Clarke Music Days!

Due to growing participation, we are excited to host Clarke Music Days two different days!
On Friday, February 28th, we invite string, piano, and guitar players to join us for a day full of music. Throughout the day, piano students will will engage in open and one-on-one masterclasses with Dr. Keisy Peyerl Xavier, Assistant Professor of Music, gaining valuable insights into technique and interpretation. The day will also feature engaging lectures on 19th-century pianists, exploring their influence and artistry. Guitar students will work with Marcus DeJesus, Adjunct Professor of Music in Guitar. String students will work with Dr. Rob Stull, Director of Instrumental Activites, and Professor Ann Duchow, Adjunct Professor of Violin/Viola, on pieces from the movie Coco and hit TV show Bridgerton.

The excitement continues on Friday, March 7th, for band and vocal musicians. Vocalists will work with Dr. Amanda Huntleigh, Director of Choral Activities, on pieces by Antonio Salieri and Giselle Wyers. Singers will also work with Rebecca Lansing, Adjunct Instructor of Voice, during vocal masterclasses throughout the day, working specifically on solo literature. Instrumentalists will work with Dr. Rob Stull throughout the day on pieces by Jennifer Jolley and more.

Check-In will start at 9:30 a.m. with first rehearsals beginning at 10 a.m. Lunch and evening snacks will be provided both days. On both nights, a final performance will be held at 5:30 p.m. to showcase all the hard work students put into the day.
